I like the read, but why are ypu saying that the S&P global isn’t known?! Literally every finance yt: buy the s&p 500. They may not know the company, but they know the index 🤣🫡

Great question! Thank you for your comment, and you are correct. S&P is well-known because of the S&P 500 index. Yet, unless one works on the business-to-business side (like investment banking), one may not fully appreciate the great competitive position S&P and Moody's have in the global ratings industry, which is their core business.

While there are other agencies in the US and abroad, none come close to posing serious competition. This huge competitive advantage is what makes MCO (a longtime investment of Warren Buffett) and S&P such compelling long-term plays—especially when bought at an attractive price point. Thanks again!
